Installation with a Bar… Pour someone a drink to start a conversation is a bar where the aim is to pour someone a drink and start a conversation with that person. The bar essentially consists of recycled boards that have been put together like a chessboard with surfaces covered from pages of the art magazine VERSION. The main aim of VERSION is to initiate dialogues between artists from a wide range of media. The newspaper thus ties in with the conversational theme of the bar and turns it inside out, so to speak. (Incidentally the drinks will be tailored to or selected by each location.)

"Pour someone a drink to start a conversation" ist eine Bar, bei der es darum geht, jemandem ein Glas einzuschenken und so mit dieser Person ins Gespräch zu kommen. Die Bar besteht im Wesentlichen aus recycelten Platten, die schachbrettartig zusammengefügt wurden und einer Oberfläche, die mit Seiten der Kunstzeitschrift VERSION überzogen wurde. Hauptanliegen von VERSION ist es, Dialoge unter Künstler*innen unterschiedlichster Medien zu initiieren. Die Zeitung schließt so an das Konversationsthema der Bar an und stülpt es sozusagen nach aussen. Die Auswahl der Getränke wird auf den jeweiligen Ort abgestimmt.
